We Are Finally Live!

It’s been a long time of planning, but I finally have Saffron Sky Films up and running. It’s been an intriguing year, and life takes you down unique paths. Needless to say, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

You might be thinking to yourself, are they new to the wedding industry? And I would have to answer with a generalized no and yes. But before I can elaborate on that, I’ll have to give you a little backstory on how we’ve come to be. I started doing photography and videography back in 2017 with a childhood friend. We went into business with each other and it was an awesome experience. We successfully grew our wedding business over the years and eventually fell in love with destination weddings. I think secretly, every photographer and videographer craves the opportunity to film in beautiful foreign locations, and here we were taking part in those beautiful international weddings. Like all businesses, we struggled during the height of the pandemic, however, we were blessed to continue documenting smaller estate weddings all along the East Coast and beyond. Many of our couples then had to reschedule once or twice for 2021. As this was pretty standard practice, the optimism in this industry grew tremendously in the early months of this year. Then something happened: this new foundation of optimism started to crack underneath us all due to potential new lock-downs due to new covid variant strains. This was when we began to reanalyze our situation. Over weeks of discussions, we decided to mutually separate and go down different paths.

Now back to answering that question of, if we are new to the wedding industry. Yes, we are new in the sense that this is a brand new wedding company with time in the market. But no, we are not new to this industry. Even though 2017 was a while ago, I learned early on about the importance of storytelling thanks to my education at USC.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles County. I went to school there, and I started a family there. I now reside in Las Vegas with my fiance, two kids, her 2 parrots, and my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Los Angles continues to be my 2nd home, all of my family as well as my fiancé’s family lives there, and the team that we’ve built over the years primarily resides there. We’re excited to embark on this new journey and we can’t wait to capture your special day.
